Easter Fun

We spent Easter with both sides of the family and had a great time, as usual. This Easter was especially fun because Wesley was actually able to hunt for eggs, kind of. At the Vissers he spent the first 10 minutes chasing the dogs while his girl cousins found all the eggs. Once the excitement of the dogs wore off, Blake and I hid some eggs again for him and he was pretty good at finding them. He was also a big fan of the eggs with pretzels hidden inside. I didn't even know he liked pretzels!

Wesley also got to hunt for eggs at the Flaming Easter, but he was again mostly interested in what was inside the eggs. He is a master at opening those things! He would find an egg, open it, and then stand there and eat everything inside, totally oblivious to all the other eggs just waiting to be found! I guess if you find one good one, there's no point in hunting for more. Is there a lesson in there somewhere? :)

Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Just being cute!

And here's a video that captures Wesley's egg hunting style.

  2. What a fun video of Wesley. That was the egg Grandpa filled with lots of toddler treats, and Wesley wanted to just stay and pick them out of the grass. Oh my!

It is fun to hear Pop's and Uncle Jeff's voices in that video.

  3. That picture of Wesley smiling straight into the camera is too cute for words. Look at those big, blue eyes!
