Backyard Update

Things are moving along smoothly. All the frames are in place for the cement patios. The men actually finished today, but these pictures are from the weekend. I tried to get Wesley in the pictures somehow, but he kept running around and pulling out the flags that are supposed to be marking irrigation and electrical lines. So, Wesley went back inside with Blake while I snapped a few pictures.

Oooh! That's a nice sized patio! Will there be a roof over any of it for shade? Did you include patio furniture into your budget? If so, what style? This is all so exciting!!

Lookin' good! And in Wesley's defense, what's a couple missing or swapped flags here and there? One wiring harness coming out of the ground where there should be a sprinkler, no big deal!

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Daddy: "What's wrong?"
Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."
Daddy: "Why do you have sleepies in your eyes?"

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
