New Morning Activity

Wesley now asks for his color crayons first thing when he wakes up in the morning. This is him at 5:30 in the morning one day last week.
Good thing he's so cute, or I might not be so happy to get up with him early every day!

I love his "first thing in the morning" face! There is something so extra sweet about a child when they first wake up. That is why I race to his crib to watch the sleepys unfold. It is worth any extra sleep lost to be with such a happy, little guy who loves to start his day early. He has things to do!

Wesley and Ethan's Words

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Wesley: "Well, when I'm a grandpa I'll be different because I'll have a lot of hair on my face."
Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."
Daddy: "Why do you have sleepies in your eyes?"

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
