Trip to the Zoo

We headed to Folsom today to visit the zoo/animal sanctuary there. We had never been before, but Blake and I had both heard good things about it from coworkers, so we decided to give it a try.

Here's Wesley, acting like a monkey on our way there.


Wesley sure had fun running from animal to animal once we got there! It was a pretty small place and very family-friendly. Wesley was able to get very close to some of the animals, like this deer.

This might have been Wesley's favorite, or at least the part that kept his attention for the longest. It's one of those donation things, where you drop coins and get to watch them spiral down the big funnel. There was a nice man who was handing out pennies so the kids could keep playing.


After the zoo we took a little train ride. No pictures of that though. Wesley wasn't cooperating and there was a lady sitting behind us that just kept looking awkward in our pictures. Oh well!

The area we were in included a park, playground, and recreation area too. Wesley wanted to check out the baseball field before we left.


All in all, it was a fun trip!
