Sweet Talker

Wesley got in trouble yesterday. I don't even remember what he did, but I don't think I'll ever forget how he apologized...

"I'm sorry, Mommy."
*hug*
"I won't ever do it again."
*kiss*
"Your earrings are pretty though..."
*sweetest smile in the whole wide world*

I've got a smart one on my hands!

That is very good strategy. He is learning flattery! And a fine apology! AND he is using his irresistible cuteness and charm!!! Ooooh, you and Blake will have a big job just staying one jump ahead of Mr. Wesley.

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."
Daddy: "Why do you have sleepies in your eyes?"

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
