Crafts

Summer has begun, and so have the crafts! Wesley saw this dragon made on TV, so we did our best to recreate it ourselves. I think it turned out pretty well, actually!

And Wesley is sooooooo proud of it!

A package came in the mail today, and Wesley could not have been happier because that meant a box for him. He's been dying to create a space ship out of a cardboard box, just like Spencer in the book Too Many Toys. Today was his lucky day!

The dragon turned out great! I only got to see the painting stage, so I'm glad to see it all finished! Oh, and boxes are great fun! Go Wesley!

Wesley and Ethan's Words

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Wesley: "Well then, I vote for Holly."
(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You know what's made out of potatoes? French fries."

Wesley: "Well, when I'm a grandpa I'll be different because I'll have a lot of hair on my face."
Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"
Mommy: "No, I think that's too many treats."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Daddy: "What's wrong?"
Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."
Daddy: "Why do you have sleepies in your eyes?"

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
