Wesley graduated from preschool last Friday!
Both sets of grandparents came up for the event, and we all had a really nice time.
Here's the area next to the school all set up before the graduation began.
And here it is all filled up with graduates!
Here's Wesley, walking to his seat as they played "graduation music".
He was so excited that we were all there. He waved like crazy!
Here he is shaking Miss Marcia's hand after she called his name. He had to hold his hat on because of the wind, so he's shaking with the wrong hand. Oh well! He'll get it right by the time he graduates high school!
The wind was probably the best part of the day. Well, at least for those of us watching! Hats kept flying off and kids didn't know what to do. In this picture, Wesley and his friend Isaac are both laughing and trying to find their missing hats. We couldn't stop laughing at all the mayhem the wind created!
We all wanted pictures with Wesley afterwards. The wind and lighting made perfect pictures a little hard to get, but they're still fun.
The sign behind the graduates read "Class of 2026". Can you believe that? Wesley will graduate high school in 2026. That sounds so far in the future, but I know it will be here before we know it!
Wesley had a few special moments with his teacher before we left. She was absolutely fabulous! We love Miss Marcia!
We went out to lunch to celebrate after the ceremony.
Wesley got to have his first soda at a restaurant since it was his special day. He thought that was pretty cool!
Then we went back home for some presents and hanging out before everyone had to drive back home.
It was a super fun day, and we couldn't be more proud of Wesley for his accomplishments so far.
Kindergarten, here we come!
What a fun day! I love the hat flying pictures. The photos of Wesley and Miss Marcia gets me choked up! We are all so proud of Wesley.
