Wesley had fun "cooking" with Mommy yesterday afternoon. We sat on a table cloth spread out on the carpet and had fun mixing, measuring, and stirring dried pasta noodles. At first Wesley was very careful about moving the pasta from one bowl to the next. He threw caution to the wind after a few minutes though, and then pasta ended up all over the place. At one point he wanted me to taste what he had made, so I had to pretend to eat the noodles. I made plenty of slurping sounds and ended by telling him how delicious it all tasted. He didn't buy it though when he saw the noodle still in his hand, so he proceeded to shove it even harder into my face. Dried pasta can hurt! Wesley was obviously very proud of his creation. I might get some actual help in the kitchen one of these days! Blake's repertoire consists of PB&J sandwiches and take out. Hopefully Wesley will be able to branch out from that a bit...
Notice his two-handed stirring technique here.
(Never mind that he's holding one of the spoons upside down...)

One of those rare moments when he actually has his mouth closed...
