New Couch

Blake and I took Wesley on a shopping trip to Walmart on Friday to get him a new toy of some sort. We weren't sure what we were going to buy for him, but we knew he needed something that he could climb or sit on. We ended up finding him a little couch.

At first he really enjoyed sitting on it, but then he wanted to climb over it instead.

Then he thought he would sit and read a book, but soon he just wanted to climb over it again.

On Sunday afternoon Wesley finally seemed to master the art of actually sitting on his couch. It's his new favorite spot to eat his snacks now!

Wesley could actually become a couch potato now! It was fun seeing him in action enjoying his new, little couch, just his size.

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
