Morning Routine

Wesley is so bright-eyed in the mornings! He was up at 5:00 am this morning but kept himself happy in his crib until 5:30. I could hear him moving around, saying "Dada" and playing with his toys. When I went into his room at 5:30 he was ready to get the day started!

We went downstairs and got some milk and some puffs. He loves to have his early morning snack on his little couch, but he's very particular about how things are arranged. He has to be in middle, and there has to be room for the bowl on one side and his cup on the other.


When he finished his first round of snacks he brought his bowl to me and made the sign for "more". I filled his bowl again and handed it to Wesley, telling him to be very careful and carry it back to his couch. He walked very slowly all the way back to his couch, staring at the bowl and trying not to spill. He turned around to sit down, but his aim was off and he sat right on the arm of the couch. He bounced right off, spilling his whole bowl of snacks. He looked around, looked at me, and then said, "Uh Oh!" He helped me clean up and then I helped him sit down in the center of the couch. He was happy to be able to finish his morning snack!
