Outside

Wesley's favorite place to be is outside. He asks to go outside about two million times a day; I think he would live out there if he could! So, that's where we spent most of our morning today.

Here's how excited he gets to go outside...

Here's one reason he gets so excited...ladybugs! Surprisingly, we still have a lot of live ladybugs even after all the ones Wesley kills. He likes to poke at them and gets a little carried away if we don't watch him carefully enough. Sorry, ladybugs! As least he doesn't eat them. :)

Here he is hunting for more bugs.

Good thing we're stocked up on sunscreen! We'll be needing it all summer long, I'm sure!

He is so thrilled to go outside! He signed for "more" and then it sounded like he said "more" when you talked about lots of ladybugs. So, so smart!

How appropriate, too, that his shirt says BUGS RULE. Ha, ha.

Sherry, he is starting to say "more" at the same time that he makes the sign. He's learning something new every day lately!

Wesley and Ethan's Words

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
