Hanging out with cousins:
Wesley, Mina, Cosette, Macey, and Tori had fun playing, eating, swimming, and making messes together.
Helping Opa wash the car:
Wesley took this job very seriously. He washed the same three spots over and over again (he moved when the bucket moved) but you better believe that those spots were clean! Wesley, however, was not so clean when it was all said and done.
Visiting the cows:
Wesley went on a walk around the dairy every morning with Oma (and usually Mommy too). Every morning he helped feed the bulls, studied the cows, threw rocks in the ditch, and visited the baby calves. He definitely perfected his "moo" this past week!
Feeding the dogs:
Wesley absolutely loved the dogs! He would say "hi" to them over and over and always wanted to feed them one bite of dog food at a time. The dogs seemed to like Wesley too. They put up with him all week long!
Going swimming:
Wesley wasn't a huge fan of the pool the first day, but he loved it by the last day! We had to keep a close eye and a good grip on him though. He's a wiggly little thing and hard to hold onto when wet!
Playing with the hose:
Wesley is never bored if there's a garden hose around. He played with the hose mulitple times!
Playing in the sandbox:
Wesley didn't get the hang of the sandbox until the end of the week, but once he discovered it he didn't want to give it up! Thankfully Oma was patient with Wesley all week long and let him play to his heart's content.
When you play that hard, you have to sleep hard too. This picture cracks me up because Wesley's sleeping on top of his favorite book. Every night he would grab it off the bed next to his crib and snuggle with it. Oh, Wesley!
We also saw GG, Great Grandma and Grandpa Visser, Grandma and Grandpa Flaming, Great Grandma and Grandpa Flaming, Tante Melanie, Tante Natalie and Uncle Steve, Tante Jessica and Uncle Travis, and the Vryhofs. We really made the rounds!
Thanks again for hosting us, Oma and Opa! We had tons of fun and hope to make it a yearly tradition! Hope you don't mind... :)
What a fun week! I love the cow photo, and Wesley with the dog. He looks like he is having such a blast washing the car with Opa. I'm glad we got to come see him in Riverdale, and also have him end his vacation here for a bit too.
