Cartoons

Wesley was up early this morning, so I turned on the cartoons and went to start a pot of coffee. While I was working on the coffee, Wesley dragged his little couch into the TV room and wedged it in between the ottoman and big couch. Blake sometimes moves the ottoman out of the way and sets Wesley's couch right in front of ours; Wesley was trying to do that for himself so he could watch cartoons in comfort. He couldn't quite make it, but he seemed fairly content with how it turned out!

Pretty awkward way to watch TV...

I'm not actually sure what he's doing here...

He loves those funny cartoon characters!

That couch was one of the best things you ever bought Wesley! That is just too adorable. It is his special spot to sit, and he knows it!

When Blake was Wesley's age he called cartoons boowoos. We would say, "Blakie, boowoos are on!" and he would come running yelling, "Boowoo! Boowoo!" I guess that started when he imitated a cartoon dog barking, but that term stuck for many years. Cartoons were boowoos.

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

10-28-13 I overheard Wesley say this to Ethan after playing with him for awhile:
Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Wesley: "That baby gets to eat in the night? What?!?!"

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"
Mommy: "No, I think that's too many treats."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
