Let the Weekend Begin!

Wesley and I started the morning by sleeping in until 6:30. What a nice treat! After some apple juice and banana bread, we spent some time looking at his current favorite book about Curious George and a parade.

He had a lot to say while reading it!

Later we made a delicious breakfast. Wesley is now a master at cracking eggs! He can do it all by himself. I honestly didn't crack a single egg for breakfast today!

Here he is, asking to crack "one more." (Pay no attention to the shell in the bowl!)

We've had a great day so far, and the weekend has only just begun! Yay for holiday weekends!

Wesley is indeed the egg cracking expert! He cracked the eggs over here too, for our scrambled eggs. He got to crack about a dozen eggs. One landed on the strawberries, and that was pretty funny. He loves that job.

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
