Projects Galore

We've been doing a lot of "projects" lately. I was doing some sewing projects over the weekend, and Wesley decided he wanted to have some projects of his own to work on. I pulled out all our crafting supplies, and we've been doing "projects" ever since!

Some highlights:

Wesley can use scissors all by himself (with close supervision, of course) and he makes a complete and utter mess every time.

So, it was also time to learn to sweep up a mess!

Wesley's also getting the hang of using the glue by himself. He loves putting "sparkles" in random places. I even found one glued to his elbow this morning! Wesley told me he was making this particular project for Daddy. I'm sure Daddy will love it! :)

I just love the look of concentration on Wesley's face. This is serious business for him!

What a busy boy! I loved my cut up paper in the mail. What a lot of work that must have been for Wesley! He is so creative. I hope Blake displayed the artwork he made for him. These photos are precious! What an adorable face!

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

10-28-13 I overheard Wesley say this to Ethan after playing with him for awhile:
Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Wesley: "That baby gets to eat in the night? What?!?!"

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"
Mommy: "No, I think that's too many treats."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
