The day started by getting Wesley dressed in his special fair shirt. The ladies at his school made adorable shirts for all the kids to wear on the field trip. Wesley was very excited that his had a tractor just like Opa drives! It was also really cute to see a bunch of little kids running around the fair in matching shirts. So fun!
Wesley was so excited that morning!!! (Maybe about the fair. Maybe about Buzz. Can't remember which!)
Checking out the turkeys. We also saw cows, pigs, rabbits, goats, sheep, and chickens. The turkeys smelled the worst, by far. Yuk!
Posing by the tractor with Daddy.
Wesley even had a project on display in one of the exhibit halls. It's a little barnyard with all different animals. Look closely at the barn...do you see Farmer Wesley? How adorable is that?!?!
Wesley was VERY proud of his project. He even got a first place sticker! Okay, all the kids got first place stickers, but still... :)
After taking in all the sights, Wesley's preschool provided hot dogs and watermelon for a picnic lunch. Then we headed home so Wesley could take his afternoon nap. Such a fun experience! I know how much planning and stress go into school field trips, but it sure is worth it for the kids and parents. Wesley's teachers are amazing, and they'll be getting a big thank you from us again on Monday!
What a fun field trip! I'm so glad that both of you got to go. What a thrilling day for Wesley. He looks so happy! His farmer display is wonderful! Hats off to his teachers.
