Shaver Lake

Wesley and I had SO much fun on our vacation at Shaver Lake! We had a great time hanging out with family both at the cabin and the lake. Here are a ton of pictures to prove how much fun we had...

Watching an early morning movie. It doesn't get much better than this!

Wesley LOVED the lake!

He loved splashing water with Oma.

The boat rides put him to sleep each day, which was perfect because there was no other way to get him to nap with so much going on.

Wesley even went for a tube ride with me. We giggled and laughed and squealed with delight the whole time!

More lake pictures...there was always something to keep Wesley busy and happy!

Wesley also loved exploring the "forest" while we were at Shaver. He made trails, hunted for bears, and got his fair share of scratches and scrapes too!

So much fun! We hope this is the beginning of a new yearly tradition!

What fun pictures! I love the video of you two on the tube. I'm glad I got to get in on a little of that weekend with you all. I loved seeing Wesley so excited. It was clear he was having the time of his life in all that outdoors and mountain fun.

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

10-28-13 I overheard Wesley say this to Ethan after playing with him for awhile:
Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Wesley: "That baby gets to eat in the night? What?!?!"

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
