Vacation Comes to an End

Well, we are finally back home! Wesley and I were gone for 2 1/2 weeks. Yikes! We hit all the family gatherings for Christmas, then headed to Shaver for some fun in the snow, then back to Riverdale for New Years, then off to Disneyland with Blake to celebrate Wesley's upcoming birthday. We had a ton of fun (and our fair share of meltdowns and other bumps along the way), but we sure are glad to be home. We have a million and one photos to share, but that will just have to wait. It's back to work tomorrow, so that means it's off to bed now!

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Wesley: "I have sleepies in my eyes."

(I think he's confusing Woodland with Riverdale!)
Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
