It's a BOY!

Ethan Lee Flaming is finally here!

He was 12 days past his due date, but he decided to arrive before I had to be induced. So thankful for that!

He was born on Saturday, February 16. He weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and measured 22 inches. He weighs a little less than Wesley did and he's a little bit longer, so he doesn't feel quite as chunky. Still a big, healthy boy though!

Delivery went quickly and smoothly, and we are all home now and doing well. Ethan is a good eater and sleeper, which makes for a happy mommy and daddy! Wesley is completely in love with "his baby" too.

Welcome, Ethan! We love you!

Great pictures. I still can't believe you mom got that pic of Ethan smiling! That is the best ever!! I love this entire post. The pic of Blake and Wesley with Ethan is priceless.

2-14-18

Ethan: "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!"

Mom: "Thank you! Will you be my Valentine today?"

Ethan: "No. I'm your son."

Mommy: "It's whipped cream. I'm going to put it on your pancakes." (It's Christmas break...whipped cream goes on everything, right?)

10-28-13 I overheard Wesley say this to Ethan after playing with him for awhile:
Wesley: "Now you be responsible with these toys while I go finish my homework."

Wesley: "That baby gets to eat in the night? What?!?!"

(Holly is his "girlfriend" at preschool. He is quite smitten by her!)

Wesley: "How about Spaghetti? I think that would be a good name because it can be for a boy or a girl. Don't you?"

Wesley: "I don't know. I guess I broke my funny bone!"

Mommy: "You will?"
Wesley: "Well, yeah, Mommy. But it's okay because you'll still love me."

Wesley: "Can I have tastes now and then a cookie too when we're done?"

Wesley: "Ummm...I do not think I'm tired. I can't even close my eyes. See? (he squints) It hurts when I close them."

Wesley: "Mommy, a B says ba. Like it's ba-cold outside today."

Mommy: "I'm sorry, but we don't have any cows in the front yard."
Wesley: "Baaaa?"
